The Custer County Sheriff’s Office has ended its contract with Flock Safety, removing the automated license plat reader cameras the agency says played a role in helping solve several serious investigations.
Custer County decided to end the program after recent concerns have been voiced about privacy across the country. The office said an increasing number of Custer County residents contacted the sheriff with privacy concerns, asking that the cameras be removed.
