Buena Vista man has been arrested on the charge of distribution of methamphetamine to a minor in Chaffee County.
The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that after a multi-day investigation, both search and arrest warrants were issued for a residence in the Johnson Village Trailer Park. Forty-three-year-old Morris Gunter was arrested without incident. Gunter was transported to the Chaffee County Detention Center where he was held on a $25,000 bond for the Class 1 drug felony.
No further information is being released at this time to protect the identity of minor children. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
Sheriff Andy Rohrich said in a press release, “Poisoning our community’s children is something our team has absolutely zero tolerance for. I am proud of our team for putting in long hours to ensure their safety.”
