The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new smartphone app to expand community service resources.
The sheriff’s office says the app is designed for citizens and visitors of Chaffee County and will provide direct, real-time access to crucial public safety resources, agency transparency and community-centric support systems.
The app offers public safety searches giving you access to the regional sex offender registry, the Chaffee County jail inmate roster, and the county’s most wanted list. Additionally users will find real-time access to emergency management and fire restrictions as well as mental health and crisis support.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes that the mobile app does not replace emergency communication infrastructure. For all life-threatening emergencies, residents must continue to dial 911 immediately.
