The U.S. Supreme Court rejected President Donald Trump’s push to have the Postal Service play a central role in deciding who would receive a mail ballot.
The decision allows states to continue to send out mail-in ballots under the same processes they’ve used for years. Mail-in ballots account for nearly a third of votes cast and there has never been evidence of fraud with them.
Colorado officials say active voters will be mailed a ballot for the 2026 general election beginning October 2nd.
