Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) is encouraging the public to take steps to protect themselves and others from influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 in the coming months.
Confirmed cases of influenza A have already been reported in Chaffee County. With respiratory illness activity starting early this year, CCHP has mapped out where to go to get vaccinations that meet the publics needs, insurance and schedule: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u3Ube2tCBs4u881QMqlooCyRuJYM50H8J15lkGwaThI/edit?gid=0#gid=0
At this time the flu, COVID-19 and RSV vaccines are available for children and adults of all ages. This includes the high dose flu and flumist nasal spray, and the newest formulation for COVID-19.
In addition to washing hands, and staying home when sick, CCPH Immunization Nurse, Tanya Wait reminds everyone that getting vaccinated is important not only for protecting yourself, but also for protecting friends, family, and the general public from illness.
