The Collegiate Peaks Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Colorado Parks and Wildlife is hosting the free Kids’ Fishing Derby at McPhelemy Park on September 5. It starts at 7:30 a.m. with the traditional Optimist breakfast (payment by donation).
Registration for the Derby begins at 9am.. Colorado Parks and Wildlife District Managers will give a rules briefing around 9:45am, and the Derby will run from 10 until 11am. Awards will be given at 11:15am, followed by a free hot dog lunch provided by the Optimist Club. Bring you own gear, but some will be available.
