Drivers who plan to hit the road this Labor Day weekend will be facing the highest gas prices ever for this time of year.
AAA reports the national average for a gallon of gas is $4.14 and in Colorado it’s $4.26.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says that to help minimize traffic delays over the Labor Day Weekend, they will suspend work on the Highway 24 bridge over the Arkansas River in Johnson Village. No work will be happening from today through Monday.
Additionally, work will shutdown during the weekend of September 18th for the Meadow Creek Music Festival in Buena Vista.
