Meet Black, a two-year-old dog who weighs about 80 pounds. No one told him how big he is because he loves to cuddle like a lap dog! He enjoys walks with the Ark-Valley Humane Society volunteers, sunbathing outside, and being his goofy, happy self. Black would love an adoptive or foster home where he can take a break from the kennel and enjoy some time in a home setting. Stop by the shelter to meet Black and see if he could be your next best friend! 50% off adoption fees for the next 7 days.
Speaking of foster homes, Ark-Valley Humane Society is launching a one-week foster-to-adopt trial for long-term shelter resident Kida. After more than 600 days at the shelter, Kida is still waiting for her adoptive home. The trial gives someone who has considered adopting Kida the opportunity to foster her and see if she is the right fit for their home. If adoption isn’t an option, donations during the August Matching Campaign can also help support Kida’s care while she waits for her family.
