Construction on the Highway 24 bridge over the Arkansas River in Johnson Village continues. Single-lane alternating traffic is in place 24 hours a day.
Construction on the Highway 50 sewer line replacement project is ahead of schedule and is advancing into a new phase as work nears completion in Poncha Springs and shifts toward Salida. Final sewer connections in Poncha Springs are expected to be completed by the end of the month. As this work wraps up, equipment will be moving to the lower end of the project near the intersection of Scott Street and Old Stage Road at the entrance to the Two Rivers commercial area. Beginning in early September, temporary closures of Oak Street and Old Stage Road will be necessary. Detours will be in place.
Chaffee County Road 150 is closed to thru traffic today from County Road 175 to 150A for tree removal.
