The Broncos beat the Falcons 27-7 in their first preseason game on Friday night. Jarrett Stidham led the first half, throwing a 5-yard touchdown pass to Jaleel McLaughlin, while Jahdae Barron sealed the early lead with a 97-yard interception return for a touchdown. Sam Ehlinger completed 10 of 14 passes for 67 yards in the second half. Coach Sean Payton held Bo Nix out. He is scheduled to debut next week.
Up next, Denver will host the Packers in preseason play this Friday night at 7pm at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium.
Side note: Former Bronco Von Miller is signing with the Dallas Cowboys, his third team in three seasons. The NFL’s active leader in sacks has agreed to a one-year contract.
