As the school year begins, many Buena Vista residents have likely noticed the “School Zone” signs posted along Highway 24 through town. The normal speed limit of 35 mph throughout BV will be reduced to 25 mph when the lights are flashing. The lights will flash at the beginning of the school day, during lunch, and when school lets out to alert drivers of students walking or biking to or from school. Officers will be using radar in these areas and taking enforcement action.
