With heavy hearts we sadly share that Alberto Juan Rodriguez Sr, age 73, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026 at his home in Leadville, Colorado. He was born on April 17, 1953 in Mission, Texas to Elidia Martinez Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez.

Beto (AL) served his county in the United States Army for 6 years and was stationed in Hawaii and later in Germany. He returned to his hometown of Pacoima, CA to live and then help care for his mother. Beto held various delivery driver jobs but was most proud of his work with HemaCare where he delivered blood and plasma to hospitals and research centers.

In 2000, Beto moved to the beautiful mountain town of Leadville, Colorado in order to be near his most prized possessions, his children and grandchildren. Beto loved attending concerts and listening to the Blues, watching the Jets and Lakers play and four-wheeling in the mountains. Most of all he thrived when he could BBQ for others.

Beto was preceded in death by his cherished mother Elidia, his sister Amanda Rodriguez Flores, and his one true love, his ex-wife Rosalinda Ozuna.

He is survived by his daughter, Melina (Henry) Compean and his son Albert (RoseAnne) Rodriguez Jr. of Leadville, Colorado; his grandchildren, Nikki Ozuna of San Diego, California, Alexis (Dominic) Rodriguez, Gianna Compean, Roman Compean of Leadville, Colorado; and his great grandson Zavian Mascarenas of Leadville, Colorado.  He is also survived by his sister Linda Martinez and brother Jerry (Patty) Rodriguez of California.

The family will hold a private celebration of life with out of town relatives on August 16th, followed by a small BBQ with family and close friends.
