It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Justin Sam Cribari (44 years old). He passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Parkview Hospital, Pueblo, Colorado on July 31, 2026.
Justin was born in Salida, Colorado on May 21, 1982, to John and Connie Cribari. Throughout high school, he always had a knack for being a daredevil. Whether he was jumping vehicles on his dirt bike, racing modified cars on the dirt track or taking his off-road vehicles where no one else would, he enjoyed every minute of it. Justin began working on vehicles at Clydes Auto Body in high school and worked there for 10 years thereafter. He then began working with his dad doing construction work for 5 years. When not completing jobs for customers, Justin helped his dad and mom build their new home. He then worked at DSI Construction with his great friend Rocky Mazza for 3 years, then at JC Welding with his close cousin Jeff Criswell for 2 years. Lastly, he worked with some of his closest friends (Joey, Randy and Darren) at H&T Construction. When not doing construction or mechanic work for H&T Construction, Joey had him work as his personal ranch hand.
In 2021, the biggest and best change of Justin’s life occurred. Together with his wife Tommie of 25 years, they welcomed their precious daughter Hanna into the world. Hanna immediately had Justin wrapped around her finger. They enjoyed life to the fullest as a family, spending literally every second together when he wasn’t working. They enjoyed off-roading in their Razor, going to the swimming pool, playing in the backyard, camping and hunting to name a few. Although most may have known Justin as tough, rugged and an introvert, he was a big teddy bear around his daughter Hanna.
Throughout the years, Justin enjoyed everything outdoors. He especially enjoyed riding his Razor and camping with all his friends, especially very close friend Zane Mumma, snowmobiling, hunting, fixing anything and everything, attending drag races, and having nightly family dinners at his parents’ house. His closest friends and family have described Justin as a jack of all trades, a master at everything he attempted, could fix anything put in front of him, he could operate any type of machinery, tool or equipment, and the smartest yet most stubborn person ever.
Another one of Justin’s biggest joys was getting under the skin of his father John as well as his close friend and one of his bosses, Joey Taverna. Justin loved to rearrange toolboxes, flick cigarettes on the garage/shop floors, scare Joey with fireworks and work on Joey’s kids bicycles instead of his regular job duties. He loved to see how upset he could make his dad and Joey.
Justin is survived by his parents John and Connie Cribari (Salida, CO); wife Tommie Myers (Salida, CO); daughter Hanna Cribari (Salida, CO); brother John Cribari (Parker, CO); nephew Kooper Cribari (Honolulu, HI); uncle Jerry (Debbie) Cribari (Salida, CO); cousin Sean (Devyn) Cribari (Salida, CO); cousin Shelbie (Nick) Cribari (Salida, CO); and numerous second, third and fourth cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pete and Pidgie Cribari; grandparents Joby and Alice Jay; and uncle Tim Jay.
Services for Justin will held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home and a celebration of life followed at H&T Construction.
