Evacuations are begin downgraded across Colorado.
More than 1,000 firefighters continue the fight against the Aspen Acres Fire in Custer, Pueblo, Fremont, and Huerfano counties. Chaffee County Fire is reporting that their crew is now home after 21 days of fighting the Aspen Acres Fire. As of last night it has burned 102,000 acres with containment at 64%. All evacuation zones have been reduced to either pre-evacuation or clear status.
The Willow Fire in Lake County west of Leadville is almost 7,200 acres with 62% containment.
The Gold Mountain Fire burning in Montrose, Ouray and Gunnison counties is just over 38,000 acres with 37% containment.
Stage 2 Fire Restrictions remain in effect for all public and private lands in Chaffee, Park, Lake, Saguache and Fremont Counties.
Custer County has moved to Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. The highest level.
