The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is confirming that they temporarily closed Skyline Drive in Canon City Sunday night after hikers discovered what appeared to be human remains. According to officials, the discovery occurred on July 19 around 9 p.m., and the drive was temporarily closed as deputies and the Fremont County Coroner recovered the remains.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing.
