A small fire was reported yesterday in Kerr Gulch between Howard and Cotopaxi. The Hamilton Fire is listed at a quarter acre. The U.S. Forest Service has taken control of the fire.
Containment of the Aspen Acres Fire has grown to 48%. The fire remains at 100,000 acres. An Aspen Acres Community meeting is taking place tonight in Gardner beginning at 7pm. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Aspen Acres Fire Facebook page.
The Willow Fire in Lake County west of Leadville has grown to just over 6,800 acres with 37% containment.
The Gold Mountain Fire burning in Montrose, Ouray and Gunnison counties is almost 38,000 acres with 13% containment.
Custer County has moved to Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. This is the highest level of fire restrictions.
All outdoor fires prohibited.
Stage 2 Fire Restrictions remain in effect for all public and private lands in Chaffee, Park, Lake, Saguache and Fremont Counties.
