Great Colorado vs. Texas Tomato War Returns August 29

The Great Colorado vs. Texas Tomato War returns to Buena Vista on Saturday, August 29.

Hosted by the Buena Vista Optimist Club, the annual event pits teams representing Colorado and Texas in a friendly tomato fight using tons of ripe tomatoes.

The fundraiser supports the Buena Vista Optimist Club, which provides funding for more than 30 youth organizations and activities throughout Chaffee County.

Individuals and teams are invited to participate. Pre-registration is now open at TomatoWar.org.
