Updated election results from the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office show that Consuelo Redhorse has narrowly won the Democratic nomination for Colorado House District 13.

According to unofficial results, Redhorse defeated Chris Floyd with 50.58 percent of the vote. She carried four of the district’s six counties: Grand, Park, Lake, and Summit. Although the margin of victory was just 164 votes, Floyd issued a statement last night conceding the race.

Redhorse will advance to the November general election, where she will face Republican Miguel Martinez for the House District 13 seat being vacated by term-limited Speaker of the House Julie McCluskie.

Meanwhile, the Republican primary for Colorado governor remains too close to call, with State Senator Barb Kirkmeyer and Victor Marx separated by a narrow margin.
