An intermittent natural gas leak from a high-pressure pipeline in Saguache is producing a plume of natural gas over portions of the town.
The leak is located on Gunnison Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets.
Firefighters went door-to-door overnight evacuating residents along Gunnison and Denver Avenues as a precaution.
Xcel Energy crews are responding to the scene and working to address the leak.
Residents are urged to avoid the area and follow instructions from emergency personnel until the incident is resolved.
