Chaffee County will kick off the nation’s 250th birthday celebration this weekend with two free drone light shows.
The first event takes place Saturday at the Buena Vista Drone Training Park, followed by a second show Sunday at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.
Activities begin at 2 p.m. both days, with the drone light shows scheduled to start at approximately 9:15 p.m.
The events are being hosted by the American Legion Post 55 and American Legion Post 64.
Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Organizers ask that guests leave dogs, outside alcohol, and coolers at home. They also note the events are nonpartisan, and campaigning will not be permitted.
