The Salida is offering a Lifeguard Certification Program during the month of July for individuals interested in employment at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center.
The opportunity is open to students seeking their first job as well as adults looking for part-time employment. No previous lifeguard experience is required.
Participants will complete the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course, which costs $250 at the time of registration. Those who are hired by the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center will receive full reimbursement of the certification fee.
Qualified candidates may be offered employment following successful completion of the training and certification requirements.
Training begins July 6, and city officials encourage interested individuals to apply soon.
