The Ark Valley Humane Society is offering free microchip and pet identification tag services throughout the week at its shelter located at Ark Valley Humane Society Shelter, 701 Gregg Drive.

The program runs Monday through Sunday and includes free microchip implantation for cats and dogs, as well as engraved pet ID tags.

Humane Society staff remind pet owners of several important guidelines:

  • Cats must arrive in secure carriers.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash.
  • Upon arrival, pet owners should leave their animals in the vehicle and check in at the front desk.
  • Paperwork will need to be completed before services are provided.
  • Wait times may vary depending on demand.

Microchips and identification tags are important tools for helping reunite lost pets with their owners and can significantly increase the likelihood of a safe return.

The Humane Society encourages pet owners throughout the Arkansas Valley to take advantage of these free services while they are available.
