The 78th annual FIBArk, the nation’s longest-running whitewater festival, continues through Sunday in Salida.

Today’s activities include carnival rides, food vendors, and live music at Riverside Park through 10 p.m. River events include the Head-to-Head Raft and SUP Sprint, Ducky Cross, and SUP Boxing competitions on the Arkansas River.

Saturday’s schedule begins with the 5K and 10K road races along with the Kids Fun Run. The popular FIBArk Parade will make its way down F Street beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday evening’s events include the crowd-favorite Hooligan Race, scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

On Sunday, downriver races get underway at 8:30 a.m., followed by the always-entertaining Crazy River Dog competition at 1:30 p.m.

Festival organizers encourage residents and visitors to enjoy the weekend’s activities and celebrate Salida’s whitewater heritage.
