The Colorado Department of Transportation is geared up for a high-traffic Memorial Day weekend by temporarily halting all statewide construction and maintenance projects to help reduce congestion for travelers.
According to CDOT, crews will pause road work operations across Colorado, allowing drivers to experience fewer lane closures and smoother travel conditions during one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. Construction and maintenance activities will remain suspended through the holiday weekend and are scheduled to resume Tuesday morning.
Officials encourage motorists to plan ahead, expect heavier traffic volumes near popular destinations, and practice safe driving habits while traveling throughout the state.
