Chaffee County Public Health is inviting Buena Vista residents to get involved in a unique volunteer opportunity this summer by becoming trained Trishaw pilots.
The program offers free bike rides for older adults, providing fresh air, social connection, and meaningful outdoor experiences. A trishaw is a specially designed, electric-assist pedicab built with accessibility in mind, allowing riders to comfortably enjoy the outdoors.
Volunteers will receive training on safe operation of the trishaw, best practices for creating a positive rider experience, and overall program expectations. Training is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Those interested in signing up can call Aubrey at 719-429-8823 for more information or to reserve a spot.
