Friends, supporters and community members gathered over the weekend to honor Suzanne Morphew and remember her life on the sixth anniversary of her disappearance.

Sunday marked both Mother’s Day and six years since Morphew was reported missing from the family’s home in Maysville on May 10, 2020. She was 49 years old at the time.

In 2023, Morphew’s remains were discovered near Moffat. Investigators later ruled her death a homicide.

Suzanne’s husband, Barry Morphew, has since been charged in connection with her death. He has pleaded not guilty and continues to deny any involvement.

Barry Morphew’s trial is currently scheduled to begin in October in Alamosa.
