The City of Salida is inviting qualified developers and homebuilders to participate in Phase 1 of the South Ark Neighborhood project.
The South Ark Neighborhood is a planned mixed-income housing development located on 12 acres of city-owned land. City officials say the project is intended to help meet the growing need for workforce and affordable housing while creating a high-quality residential neighborhood connected with parks, open space, and community amenities.
Phase 1 will include 53 development lots with the potential to support up to 150 residential units. Infrastructure construction is already underway to prepare the site for future vertical development.
Developers and homebuilders interested in the project are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal meeting and site tour scheduled for May 27.
