Salida Begins Multi-Year Sewer Infrastructure Project Toward Poncha Springs

The City of Salida has launched a multi-year infrastructure project to upsize the sewer main connecting Salida to Poncha Springs.

Initial construction is underway near County Road 111, across from Walmart, and continues west along Highway 50. Traffic in the area has been reduced to one lane in each direction during this phase of work.

City officials say access to homes and businesses along Highway 50 will be maintained throughout construction. However, drivers should expect lane shifts, temporary traffic pattern changes, and minor delays in active work zones.
