Toby Taylor of Salida has announced his candidacy for Chaffee County Commissioner District 3.
The Republican said in a press release that he has a strategic focus on three community development priorities: Property Rights, Tax Code reform, and Building Code modernization.
As owner of Colorado ICF Builders, Taylor said he is running for Chaffee County Commissioner because after decades of working within Chaffee County’s construction, housing, and business environment, he has seen firsthand how increasing regulations, rising costs, and rapid policy changes are impacting local families, businesses, and the future of the community.
Incumbent District 3 Commissioner P.T. Wood has announced that he will be seeking reelection.
