Critical fire weather conditions will return Saturday across the mountains, & valleys. Gusty winds and low humidity will lead to conditions favorable for fire spread.
In Salida & Buena Vista:
Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Tonight we will see a low near 39.
San Luis Valley: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Then back down to 34 degrees overnight.
Leadville & Fairplay:
Increasing clouds, with a high near 55. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Overnight we will see a low around 32.
Looking ahead to the rest of the weekend: Winds weaken slightly for Sunday, though elevated fire weather
conditions will be possible across the valleys.
