The First Presbyterian Church in Salida will host a community forum this evening focused on immigration education and awareness.

Presented by the church’s Justice and Advocacy Committee, the event—titled Immigration 101—will feature personal immigrant stories while also addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding immigration.

The forum will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 7 Poncha Boulevard in Salida.

Organizers say the event is free and open to the public, with childcare available for attendees. Community members of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend and participate in the conversation.
