A creative and heartwarming fundraiser is now underway to benefit the Ark Valley Humane Society.
The “Good Pet/Bad Portrait” event invites community members to make a $25 donation and submit a photo of their pet in exchange for a one-of-a-kind portrait. Each submitted photo is randomly assigned to a volunteer artist, with participating artists ranging in age from just 5 years old and up.
The results are often humorous and delightfully imperfect, but organizers say that’s part of the fun. Regardless of the artistic outcome, every donation directly supports homeless pets in the care of Ark Valley Humane Society.
