The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is continuing to offer free income tax return preparation services to eligible residents.
Appointments are required for assistance in both Salida and Buena Vista. Salida residents can schedule an appointment by calling 719-431-4578, while Buena Vista residents can call 719-293-1857.
Eligibility for the free service is limited to households with an income of $63,000 or less.
