Bitter cold temperatures remain in place today and will continue through Monday morning across Eastern Colorado. Light snow and dangerous wind chills will keep winter conditions firmly in control.
Salida & Buena Vista
Snow showers are expected today with highs near 25° and light winds around 10 mph. Around 1 inch of new snow is possible. Temperatures drop sharply tonight, falling to around 1°.
San Luis Valley
Snow showers continue with a high near 24°. Winds remain mostly calm, increasing to around 5 mph in the afternoon. 1–3 inches of new snow are possible before temperatures fall to around 2° tonight.
Leadville & Fairplay
Snow showers are expected mainly before 2 PM with highs near 18°. Wind chill values will hover between 0° and 5°.
Looking Ahead:
Light, fluffy snow will linger through today and gradually taper off across the region by Sunday afternoon. Cold temperatures will remain the dominant weather story through the weekend.
