The Salida School District is now accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Board of Education as an at-large director.
The appointed term would begin in February and run through the next regular election in November 2027.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be registered voters within the school district for at least 12 consecutive months prior to appointment and must not have been convicted of a sexual offense against a child.
Those interested are asked to submit a one-page personal introduction along with a one-page essay outlining what they hope to accomplish as a board member. Applications must be received by January 27.
The Board of Education will conduct interviews with selected candidates on February 10.
