Red Flag Fire Warnings Issued Across Much of the State as High Winds Raise Fire Risk

In response to the heightened fire danger, Xcel Energy announced plans for another round of public safety power shutoffs in northern Colorado. The utility company says the precautionary outages are intended to reduce the risk of power lines igniting wildfires during periods of extreme wind.
