Wyonne Richards Obituary
Wyonne Adele Richards, born September 11, 1964, in Salida, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday December 16th after a long and courageous battle with dementia in the San Luis Valley.
Wyonne dedicated 23 years of service to the Moffat School District, where she was known for her smile, dedication and poured her love into her cooking. She enjoyed working with her coworkers, interacting with the kids, and watching them grow over the years . Outside of work, she found joy in tending to her yard and garden, cooking and canning, ceramic painting, and wood burning. She was also a devoted Denver Broncos fan. Above all, she cherished time spent with family, friends and grandchildren.
Wyonne is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Richards; her son, Rob Delmer Richards; her daughters, Randi Nicole Richards, Leslie Alice (Cody) Hazard, and Kayla Adele Richards; her beloved grandchildren, Lavender Carlson, Kaystin Hawthorne-Richards, Raiden and Atlas Hazard; her parents, Shirley and Delmer Frees; her brothers, David and George (Shannon) Frees. Wyonne is preceded in death by her grandparents Lester and Alice Alway and her grandson Sterling Robert Grogan-Richards.
Wyonne’s kindness, creativity, and love for her family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be forever loved, remembered, and missed.
