Salida’s annual Parade of Lights will brighten downtown tonight, stepping off along F Street at 6 p.m. This year’s theme, “Who Let the Elves Out,” will be led by Grand Marshall Karin Naccarato and promises a festive evening packed with holiday cheer.
The celebration will include the highly anticipated lighting of Christmas Mountain, a fireworks display, and an appearance by Santa Claus. Holiday Park, featuring more than 100 decorated Christmas trees in Riverside Park—will also be officially lit for the season.
Before the parade, Columbine Manor will host a nacho bar and hot chocolate at 5 p.m. at the Salida Community Center.
Looking ahead, Buena Vista’s Christmas Opening festivities are scheduled for next weekend.
