Chaffee County Women Who Care (CCWWC) is proud to announce that The Alliance was chosen as the financial award recipient for fourth quarter 2025. On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, members of CCWWC gathered at A Church in Salida to hear funding pitches from three local organizations including Ark Valley Humane Society, The Alliance, and Salida Montessori Charter School.
After each nonprofit representative presented on how CCWWC funding would be used and the potential impact of the group’s support, the CCWWC membership voted. The vote was very close, but The Alliance won the hearts and minds of the ladies in the room and will use the $18,000 to support their Counseling and Medical Care Programs.
“We had a fantastic meeting last night,” said Sandy Visnack, CCWWC Steering Committee member. “So much joy and energy filled the room as members of Chaffee County Women Who Care came together to celebrate another incredible year of giving. It’s inspiring to see how our collective generosity continues to strengthen and uplift our community.”
For over forty years, The Alliance in Chaffee County has provided services for survivors of
