The City of Salida is moving forward with scheduled asphalt maintenance improvements that will enhance roadway conditions and safety for residents and visitors. The work will involve targeted curb repairs and a mill and overlay of the asphalt pavement generally located on G Street between 5th Street and 7th Street and F Street between 5th Street and US-50.

The project is scheduled in two phases:

  • Mid-September: Concrete curb section repairs will begin.
  • Mid-October: Asphalt milling and overlay paving operations are expected to take place.

The project has been awarded to Pavement Maintenance Services, Inc., a local contractor with extensive experience in road maintenance and rehabilitation. Temporary street closures will be required at times, particularly during point repairs and paving days in October. Residents in affected areas will receive advance notice via door hangers when vehicles need to be moved off the street to accommodate construction.

Residents with questions or in need of special accommodations are encouraged to contact:

  • Public Works Department: 719-539-6257
  • Pavement Maintenance Services, Inc.: 719-530-1776 (for contractor-related inquiries)
