A male student died hours after shooting and wounding two other students at Evergreen High School yesterday before turning the gun on himself.
All three juveniles were transported to the hospital. One victim remains in critical condition, while the second suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.
Investigators say the suspect, whose name has not yet been released, used a revolver during the incident, which took place both inside and outside the school building.
More than 100 law enforcement officers from around the region responded to the scene. Evergreen High School, which has an enrollment of more than 900 students, will remain closed today along with other schools in the Evergreen and Conifer area.
