Here’s your forecast from Heart of the Rockies Radio—

A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect in Chaffee County and Southern Colorado today through Monday, where then an Extreme Cold Watch remains in effect until Tuesday Morning. With very cold wind chills as low as 24 below zero is expected.

In the Upper Arkansas will be Mostly sunny, with a high near 18 and Wind chill values as low as -20. Then back down to a low around -4 overnight.

The San Luis Valley will be partly sunny, with a high near 14. Wind chill values will feel as low as -25. Then back down to a low around -6 overnight.

In the High Country, Leadville & Fairplay, we’ll see Increasing clouds, with a high near 7. Wind chill values between -20 and -30. Then back down to a low around -10 tonight.

Looking into the beginning of the week, we will see the Extreme Cold Watch coming in Monday Afternoon – Tuesday Morning. Dangerously cold wind chill values could get as low as 30 below zero.

During this advisory, do not stay outside for longer than 10 minutes, keep pets indoors and use extreme caution while traveling.
