The Town of Buena Vista is accepting letters of interest from residents to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees. The position opens following the resignation of Gina Lucrezi, effective December 31st. Lucrezi will be sworn in as a Chaffee County Commissioner on January 14th.
Requirements to Serve as Trustee:
- Be a registered voter.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Reside in Buena Vista as a primary resident for the last 12 consecutive months.
- Maintain residency throughout the term.
The term for the vacant seat will expire on November 3, 2026.
Letters of interest and the required questionnaire must be submitted to the Town Clerk by end of business on January 17th. Interviews are scheduled for the January 28th Trustee meeting, with an appointment expected at the February 11th meeting.
The Town of Buena Vista is also seeking a representative for the Chaffee Housing Authority Board of Directors. This appointee will serve a two-year term representing Buena Vista. Letters for this position are due by end of business on January 6th.
