The City of Salida invites everyone to ring in the New Year at the Heart of the Rockies New Year’s Eve Celebration in downtown Salida.
The highlight of the evening will be the drop of a giant, lighted heart from the Salida Fire Department’s ladder truck, raised over 50 feet in the air. The heart will drop twice:
- 9 PM: For families and early celebrators.
- Midnight: To officially welcome the New Year.
The heart drop will take place at the corner of Sackett Avenue and F Street. Please note:
- F Street will be closed to vehicles between Sackett and 1st Street.
- Sackett Avenue will be closed between E and F Streets.
- Parking is available on the opposite side of the F Street Bridge and other downtown areas.
Event Highlights:
- Music: Dance and holiday tunes from a DJ (7:30 PM–midnight).
- Performances: Emceed by Dan R with a show by the Salida Starlettes.
- Amenities: Warming stations, hot beverages, and food vendors.
- Shopping: Downtown businesses will stay open late.
This free community event is made possible by sponsors including High Country Bank, Heart of the Rockies Radio, Monarch Mountain, Boathouse Cantina, and Kaleidoscope Toys.
Celebrate in style and make this New Year’s Eve a memorable one!
