According to Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell, 7,323 residents have already cast ballots in the ongoing General Election. In-person voting remains open at the Salida Voter Center, located at 235 West 10th Street, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, and on Election Day, November 5th, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In Buena Vista, voters can cast their ballots at the Buena Vista Community Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Curbside drop boxes at the Chaffee County Courthouse in Salida and the BV Motor Vehicle Office are also available for ballot drop-offs.
All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on November 5th to count, so those yet to vote are encouraged to use drop-off locations instead of mailing.
