Chaffee County Clerk Lori Mitchell has reported that 5,729 county residents have cast ballots in the General Election as of yesterday. In-person voting is available at the Salida Voter Center (235 West 10th Street) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, November 5th.

In Buena Vista, in-person voting at the Buena Vista Community Center begins Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ballots can be dropped off anytime at curbside boxes located at the Chaffee County Courthouse and BV Motor Vehicle Office.

Today is also the final day to request mail delivery for a ballot or replacement. All ballots must be submitted by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
