Over the weekend, firefighting crews have been working to contain the 821 Fire, a grass fire burning about five miles southeast of Jefferson in Park County. The fire has currently spread to approximately 100 acres with no containment as of now.
While no structures are threatened, and no closures or evacuations have been ordered, residents and travelers along Highway 285 from Fairplay to Kenosha Pass should expect to see smoke in the area.
Authorities continue to monitor the fire closely and will provide updates as the situation develops.
