Chaffee County has announced it is approaching the next significant milestone in its County Land Use Code update project. The full draft of the proposed updates will be available for public review by September 30th. Residents can access the draft document and the updated zoning map on the project website, togetherchaffeecounty.org, or view it in person at the County Planning Department once finalized.
The Land Use Code update, launched in 2022, aims to align county land use regulations with long-term planning initiatives, ensuring that policies reflect the community’s vision, goals, and objectives. Public hearings and work sessions with the Chaffee County Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners are scheduled from October 1st through November 12th, allowing the public to provide input on the updates.
