A snowy Thanksgiving week is ahead.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for much of the state through Tuesday afternoon. A storm system will move in tonight and dump over a foot of snow in parts of the state. The central mountains could see 6 to 10 inches, 3 to 5 for the Arkansas Valley. Saguache and Westcliffe are expecting 1 to 3 inches. North and northeast Colorado will see up to 14 inches by Tuesday afternoon.
Roads will become hazardous. Travel out of Denver on I 70, 76 and 25 will be next to impossible.
Another snow producing system will arrive Wednesday and continue through Saturday morning.
The valley will see a high of 47 today. Look for an overnight low of 17.
Leadville, Fairplay and the mountains can expect a high of 35 a low of 9.
