Fire danger is on the rise in Colorado, with several active fires posing threats across the state.
The Alexander Mountain Fire, burning in Larimer County between Loveland and Estes Park, has now grown to 950 acres with no containment reported. Over 2,600 residents have been issued evacuation orders, and Highway 34 is closed between Estes Park and Loveland.
In addition to the Alexander Mountain Fire, several smaller fires are burning, particularly in the Western Slope and southwest Colorado, exacerbating the fire danger in the region.
